“Oh what a night!” Jersey Boys in London

If you haven’t seen the Broadway show “Jersey Boys,” you’re missing out on some great musical entertainment. With a little strategic planning and early-morning motivation, we managed to arrange a magical “Jersey Boys” evening at the Prince Edward Theatre (yes, the ‘re’ means I’m a posh Brit now), and — most importantly — we arranged it for half price. Talk about a productive morning!

As many of you London-goers know, you can find theatre tickets at half price if you go to Leicester Square the morning of the show you hope to see. We were choosing between “War Horse,” “Matilda,” “Billy Elliot,” and “Jersey Boys” and chose the latter for the least expensive tickets at 20 pounds. Not only did we save money (always a welcome option), but we also ended up getting transported back home to the States for the evening … well, to Jersey, at least.

“Jersey Boys” tells the story of how Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons joined together and worked through jail times, trying times and first times together, to finally reach the ultimate success — a place in the Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Fame. I’d tell you more, but I don’t want to spoil the magic of a night in Jersey jammin’ out … it’s “just to good to be true!” (Love me some lyrical play on words).
